Vintage Charts

A vintage chart is a valuable resource for wine drinkers and collectors alike. It’s value comes from the fact that it gives you, the wine drinker or purchaser, the general average rating for wines from a particular country, region or appellation. Vintage charts are very simple to read. Typically the vintage (the year the grapes were harvested) is listed across the top, and the type of wine (i.e. the appellation, varietal, and wine color) is listed down the side. Just locate the wine in question on the side, slide over to the correct vintage, and where you end up is the average rating. Pretty simple right? One other thing, vintage charts also let you know whether you should drink or hold on to a certain vintage. So a vintage would tell you that you should “hold on” to that 2005 Bordeaux that you just bought.

We have listed some freely available vintage charts below. Simply click on the links and you will be taken to the providing web site’s page to view and/or download the chart.
